I really want a small, friendly, sociable, cute dog but I dont know what breed. i have looked at a few, we have two bigger dogs already who get on great with other dogs so…

If you want a small cute, adorable, dog then you should get a Chihuahua they make EXCELLENT companions, especially if you live in a small apartment they can adjust to any home don’t need allot of exercise or food but they love to be spoiled with love lol but yea be carefull when you introducedd the big dog to the small dog cuz they might think its a toy or something and bite it or worse beleive me i know it has happened to me but yea there are different types of chihuahaus to choos from long haired short haired ect.. or if you want a REALLLY small energetic dog you can get a jack russel terrier or a another small dog is a terrier or maybe a hairy shitzue, or a puffy pomeranian any ways if i were you i would go with a chihuahau lol just because theyr sooo cute. Check out the local shelter and see which one comes to you. If you’re open to mixed breeds, there are plenty of adorables. But I’d recommend a Yorkshire Terrier, a West Highland Terrier, a Maltese or a Pomeranian. All those are cute, and generally a dog will be friendly and sociable if you teach it to be. Take a look around and see which puppies or dogs seem the most friendly to you.
Why not go to your local shelter if you are OK with a mixed breed/ Since mutts are unpredictable, this really is the best way to go for that. They may also have some purebreds. Just see what individual dog fits your needs! If you buy an adult you will know exactly how big it will be.
Don’t fall for any of those designer dog names (like a chorkie or puggle or something dumb like that) or teacup anything since it is just bad breeder talk! ANd some “miniature” dogs exist, others don’t so look at the AKC website to see if there are multiple sizes recognized http://www.akc.org
are you open to mix breeds? there are a lot of dogs in shelters nowadays even puppies – i’m registered with a rescue group and i’ve been getting notices all the time because of families moving into smaller homes due to our failing economy and the pets are always the first to go. Try looking into shelters and rescues first, if you really can’t find anything there, then look for specific breeds.
the good thiing with shelters is that you’ll be able to bring ur dogs in to make sure they all get along before bring a new dog home. It all depends on whether your current dogs can get along with a hyper dog or a mellow dog. Whether you want a hypoallergenic breed that sheds less, or do you not mind the shedding at all. Do you want a dog fancy or a little terrier? we’ll need a little more info to give you suggestions.
Yorkies are cute and small, i have one, but sometimes they can be a little over protective and bark at anyone that they dont know. But they the most adorable dogs and they love you so much
Also, shitz zuis are quite small and very lovable. We used to have one and it was the most calm, loving and cute litttle thing. hope i helped
i herd that yorkies are fristy and mean, Maltese what i have are oftten scared and they love to bark at anything. i think that pomerain are good dogs.
please rescue a shelter dog. i have heard “toy” breads have horrible health problems. shelter dogs make the greatest companions and your saving a life.

i have a westie. he`s quiet but playfull and most are the same. theyre a great breed
