Have you ever wondered about the training that goes into training a dog for an electric dog fence system? It can be very easy if you don’t cut corners and if you use a professional. If you do cut corners with the electric fence for dogs because you are impatient or because you use someone not qualified for conditioning, you can create a traumatic experience for your dog that can last for years.
If training isn’t done correctly, dogs can be afraid to even go outside. Poor training can cause dogs to use the home as a place to do its business. It can cause more fearful and timid tendencies to grow. Improperly trained dogs can repeatedly run through the invisible fence and sometimes can never be contained.
It doesn’t take any longer or any more work to do it right from the beginning. I am sure your dog would feel the same way if he/she could express it to you. Done properly, a dog does not have to fear the electric dog fence system; but, will look forward to playing and getting exercise in the yard every day.

You researched the type of puppy you wanted. Found the puppy, bought it, purchased a cute collar and matching water bowls, now what? Now you need to begin training and housebreaking your adorable puppy. Be prepared, you need to be dedicated and committed. First thing you need to do is decide on a name for your new puppy and begin using at all times especially when talking, playing, or feeding your puppy. This will help your puppy to learn his name quicker and easier.
Now that you have welcomed your puppy to your home, you should begin to housebreak your pup. First, designate a particular area for your puppy to use as the “potty area.” Be very persistent with showing him that this is where he is to relieve himself. An eight week old puppy needs to go relieve himself approximately every 30 minutes to an hour, most import times are usually after every nap, mealtime, and playtime. Crate training is a common technique for housebreaking a young pup. It is most successful because it is a natural instinct for a puppy not to “mess” where he sleeps. Supervision while outside or in the crate helps tremendously with preventing accidents in the house or crate.
Socializing your puppy is a training step that many puppy owners over look. It’s important for your puppy to be comfortable outside their immediate surroundings. Socializing your puppy gets him used to different people, places, and things. Take your puppy with you whenever you need to run an errand, pick up food from the pet store, or even a car ride.

You can find cages across the Internet and at your local pet shop, in a variety of sizes and prices.
No matter what your needs and those of your pet, there is a dog cage available for you. Each person feels that they have the easiest and most effective method on how to train a dog with a clicker. Almost every dog owner is anxious to share their advice and expertise, when they find out that you have a new puppy. Very similar to when your first child is born, all of your friends and family with children, claim to have an in depth understanding of your situation.
A training method used in the past, known as clicker training, is currently making a comeback, as a productive dog training technique. The clicker is a small box that elicits a distinct clicking sound when the user presses their thumb down on the device; the click is a signal to the dog that he is exhibiting noteworthy behavior and that you are pleased with him. Teaching the dog the symbolism of the sound is the foundation of training with a clicker.
Obviously, the first step is to buy a clicker. A book describing the clicker training procedure, available in most pet shops, will also be quite useful. Teaching your dog his first trick, such as following the “sit” command, is a good initial step. Attempt to get your dog to sit on his bottom, as you tell him to “sit”. Once he follows the instructions, reward him with his favorite treat while clicking the clicker box once. Do this every time the dog is given a treat – click. You will be helping your dog to associate his appropriate behavior with the clicking noise.
